This Privacy Policy describes how Core Pilates (“we,” “us,” or “our”) accesses, collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you visit corepilatesnj.com (the “Site”), use the Core Pilates mobile application (the “App”), use our services, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”).

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” refer to users of the Services, including customers, website visitors, app users, and other individuals whose information we collect.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our information practices. Where separate consent or permission is required to access, collect, use, or share information, we will request it. This Privacy Policy does not replace any required consent or device permission.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the “Last updated” date, and take any additional steps required by applicable law.

How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

To provide the Services, we collect personal information from a variety of sources, as described below. The information we collect and use depends on how you interact with us.

In addition to the specific uses described below, we may use personal information to communicate with you, provide the Services, comply with applicable legal obligations, enforce our terms of service, and protect the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others. Health and fitness information is subject to the additional limitations described in the “Health Data: Access, Collection, and Use” section.

What Personal Information We Collect

The personal information we obtain depends on how you interact with the Site, the App, and our other Services. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be associated with you.

Information We Collect Directly from You

Information you directly submit through the Services may include:

  • Contact information: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Order information: Your name, billing address, shipping address, payment confirmation, email address, and telephone number.
  • Account information: Your username, password, and other information used to create, authenticate, and manage your account.
  • Shopping information: Items you view, place in your cart, or add to a wishlist.
  • Customer support information: Information you choose to include in communications with us, including messages submitted through the Services.
  • Health and fitness information: Information described in the following section, including fitness-related booking information and health information you voluntarily provide to our studio.

Some features require you to provide certain information. You may choose not to provide it, but this may prevent you from using the features that depend on that information.

Health Data: Access, Collection, and Use

The Core Pilates mobile application and related studio services handle fitness-related information to support class bookings, membership management, and participation in our Pilates services. We treat information about your health and fitness as sensitive personal information.

Fitness information: We collect and access information associated with your class reservations and participation, including the classes you book, reservation dates and times, cancellations, attendance records, and class history. This information is generated when you use our booking services and when studio staff manage reservations and record attendance.

Health information you provide: If you voluntarily tell our studio about an injury, physical limitation, or another health-related concern relevant to your participation, that information may be recorded in notes associated with your studio account. These notes are separate from the information displayed in the customer-facing App and are intended for studio staff supporting your participation.

How we use this information: We use reservation and attendance information to manage bookings, maintain class histories, administer memberships and class packages, and respond to questions about your account. Health-related notes are used to communicate relevant participation concerns to studio staff and help them accommodate the information you have provided.

Storage and access: Booking records and account information are transmitted to and stored in the systems supporting our Services, including the Mariana Tek studio-management platform. They are not stored exclusively on your device. Information recorded in studio account notes is accessible to authorized studio employees through the management platform.

Mariana Tek and service providers supporting the operation, hosting, and maintenance of these systems may process information to provide those services. We limit the disclosure of health and fitness information to personnel and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this section, or where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell health or fitness information or use or disclose it for targeted advertising. The general marketing and advertising provisions elsewhere in this Privacy Policy do not authorize the use or disclosure of health and fitness information for those purposes.

You may choose not to provide voluntary health information. You may also contact us to request correction or deletion of health-related information you previously provided. Information necessary to maintain a reservation or administer your membership is required to provide those particular services.

The retention and deletion practices below apply to health and fitness information as well as other personal information. To submit a deletion request, follow the instructions in Account and Personal Data Deletion .

Information We Collect through Cookies and Similar Technologies

We automatically collect certain information about your interaction with the Services (“Usage Data”). We may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect this information.

Usage Data may include device information, browser information, network connection information, your IP address, and information about how you access and interact with the Services and your account.

Information We Obtain from Third Parties

We may obtain information from third parties, including vendors and service providers that collect or process information on our behalf:

  • Companies that support the Site, the App, and our other Services, such as Mariana Tek.
  • Payment processors that collect payment information, such as bank account details, credit or debit card information, and billing addresses, to process payments and fulfill purchases.
  • Providers of online tracking technologies, including pixels, web beacons, software development kits, third-party libraries, and cookies, that collect information when you visit the Site, open or click our emails, or interact with the Services or advertisements.

Information we obtain from third parties is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Health and fitness information handled through service providers is subject to the additional limitations described in the Health Data section above.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Providing products and services: We use information to process payments, fulfill orders, manage class reservations and memberships, create and maintain accounts, send account and transaction notifications, arrange shipping where applicable, facilitate returns and exchanges, and enable reviews.
  • Marketing and advertising: We use information to send marketing and promotional communications by email, text message, or postal mail, and to display advertisements. We may also use information to tailor the Services and advertising on the Site and other websites. These uses are subject to applicable consent requirements and the restrictions on health and fitness information stated above.
  • Security and fraud prevention: We use information to detect, investigate, and respond to potentially fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity and to protect accounts and the Services.
  • Communicating with you: We use information to respond to requests, provide customer support, improve the Services, and maintain our relationship with you.
  • Health and fitness-related functions: We use health and fitness information only for the purposes described in the Health Data section above.

Please keep your account credentials confidential. Do not share your password or other account access details. Contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Cookies

We use cookies to operate and improve the Site and Services, remember preferences, run analytics, and understand how users interact with the Services. We may also permit third parties and service providers to use cookies to tailor services, products, and advertising, subject to the limitations described in this Privacy Policy.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can use your browser settings to remove or reject cookies. Blocking cookies may affect certain features or prevent them from working properly. Blocking cookies does not necessarily prevent all information sharing with third parties.

How We Disclose Personal Information

Subject to the additional restrictions on health and fitness information described above, we may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: To vendors that perform services on our behalf, including technology support, studio-management services, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Business and marketing partners: To partners that assist with our business and marketing activities. These partners may process information under their own privacy notices. This does not include sharing health or fitness information for targeted advertising.
  • At your direction or with your consent: When you request or authorize a disclosure, including through a social media widget, login integration, or another service you choose to use.
  • Affiliates: Within our corporate group where applicable to operating the Services.
  • Legal obligations and business transactions: To comply with applicable law or valid legal requests, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or bankruptcy, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Categories of personal information disclosed for these purposes may include identifiers such as contact and account information; commercial information such as order, shopping, and support information; and internet or network activity information such as Usage Data. Any disclosure of health and fitness information is subject to the restrictions described in the Health Data section.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

User-Generated Content

The Services may allow you to post reviews or other user-generated content. Information you submit to a public area may be visible to others.

We cannot control who accesses publicly posted information or how they use it. Please do not include health information, payment details, or other sensitive information in public posts.

Third-Party Websites and Links

The Services may contain links to websites or platforms operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies. Please review those policies before providing information to them.

Linking to a third-party website does not, by itself, constitute our endorsement of that website or its operator. This section does not limit our responsibilities for information processed by service providers on our behalf.

Children’s Data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the details below to request deletion.

We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share, as those terms are defined under applicable law, personal information belonging to individuals under 16 years of age.

Security of Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. Access is limited to personnel and service providers who need the information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

No security measure, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, full payment card details, or unnecessary sensitive information through email or other unsecured communications.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention depends on the type of information, the reason it was collected, whether it remains necessary, and applicable legal requirements.

  • Account, booking, and membership information: We retain information needed to maintain your account, manage reservations, administer memberships and class packages, and maintain your service history while providing these services.
  • Health-related notes: We retain health information voluntarily provided to our studio only while it remains necessary to support your participation, address the concern for which it was provided, or meet a specific legal obligation.
  • Payment and transaction records: We retain records necessary to process purchases, resolve payment disputes, and satisfy applicable accounting, tax, and other legal recordkeeping requirements for the period required by those obligations.
  • Support and security records: We retain information while necessary to resolve the relevant request, investigate security concerns, prevent fraud, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Removing an account through the App does not automatically erase every historical record in the underlying studio-management platform. Historical reporting records, including records containing a customer’s name, may remain after account removal. Requests to delete associated personal information are handled through the process below.

When information is no longer necessary for a disclosed purpose and no applicable retention obligation or exception applies, we delete it or anonymize it so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with you. Where a service provider holds that information on our behalf, we coordinate the required deletion or anonymization with that provider.

Account and Personal Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Core Pilates account and associated personal information, including health and fitness information. You may also request deletion of specific information without requesting deletion of your entire account.

Account removal in the App: Open your Profile, select Personal Information, and select Delete Account. Follow the instructions to confirm the request. If the option is unavailable or you cannot complete the process, contact us using the email address below.

Account and data deletion requests by email: Email corepilatesnutley@gmail.com with the subject line “Core Pilates Account and Data Deletion Request.”

Include your name, the email address associated with your account, and whether you are requesting deletion of your entire account and associated information or only specific information, such as health-related notes. You do not need to reinstall the App or sign in to submit an email request.

Where possible, send the request from the email address associated with your account. If you no longer have access to that address, contact us for assistance with verification.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before deleting information. Do not send your password, full payment card details, or unnecessary health information.

We will review your request and coordinate with Mariana Tek and other relevant service providers to delete associated personal information, except for information that must be retained for a specific legal obligation or another applicable retention exception described in this Privacy Policy.

Account removal and deletion of underlying personal information are separate processing steps. We will not treat removal of account access alone as fulfillment of a request to delete associated personal information.

If information must be retained, we will explain what information remains, the reason for retention, and the applicable retention period or criteria. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and notify you of the outcome of your request.

Deleting information required for a particular feature may prevent you from continuing to use that feature. Uninstalling the App does not delete your account or information stored by Core Pilates or its service providers.
